Reflection:

What have I learnt in this module?

This subject have taught me a lot especially for task 1, cause it taught me about different aspects that we can use in art especially in fashion design, and after finishing my task 1 i realized that the design principles can help me alot to inspired me designing garments.

What did I enjoy the most?

I really enjoyed when i start to develop my chosen art work, since im doing for digital collage which is kinda new for me, and it is pretty satisfying to do it.

What did I not enjoy the most?

It is when i need to make 3 different sketches to do the art work, it was a little bit pressure for me since i need to make another artwork that "simmilar" to Johanna's art but not making it same, also i need to use my brain more to brainstorming.

What have I learnt about myself through this module?

Suprisingly, it is not just about designing a digital art collage, but also writting a blog(?) since for me it is like writting a diary but not a personal stuff and turns out that i enjoyed to write something like it.

What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?

Well learning this module helped me to getting know more about the design especially it changed me the way i see and art, which now i know what and how indetify the principles that been used on the visual and also the composition.

    What are my aspirations?

Im hoping that in the future im able to improving my design skills by implementing every design principles that i learned for this 7 weeks in my future design.

The Chosen Art with Finalized look:

Fig 1.3
"Kartini: Feminism for the Modern Era"

This work of art is inspired by RA Kartini's journey in fighting for women's emancipation where at that time, women were still treated unfairly, many women were prohibited from getting an education and only worked as housewives. RA Kartini standing on a pile of books  symbolizes the power of education and knowledge as the foundation for women's empowerment. The background consisting of buildings in Jakarta represents the modern era in Indonesia and with RA Kartini embracing feminists means that today's women continue and fight for justice as RA Kartini once did. Lastly, the white, gold, and purple (the sock's colour) that i used are associated with the feminist movement and used International Women's Day (IWD).

Design Principles in "Kartini: Feminism for the Modern Era":

It is clearly seen that the colour of the figure which has reddish and brownish colour making it contrast from the background. The gigantic size of the figure is also emphasizing the art work. Each side of this artwork has balance composition, the buildings on the background also the figure composition have almost equal arrangement. The most interesting while making this visual is the way that the various photo pieces gathered together that somehow creating unique unity. Lastly, the last design principle that i used is proximity, especially the way that i overlapped the part of the skirt by using different type of batik pattern.

Feedback:
After finalizing the chosen figure, Sir charles advised me to instead using buildings from other country as the background, try to use Indonesian modern or history buildings, and at first, he also told me to change the color of the quotes from red to white and laso make a comparison between using it or not, and at the end i like the visual whe has no quotes on it.
